NEW DETAILS SURFACE ON THE POLYMEGA CLONE SYSTEM


It's been awhile since we've talked about the POLYMEGA, a console that aims to let you legally play NES, SNES, Genesis, SEGA CD, Neo Geo CD, 32X CD, Turbo CD, PC Engine CD, Saturn, and PS1 carts/discs. It appears the project is going well, as a handful of new details have been shared.

- second round of pre-orders kick off in May, and retail pre-order info is coming - 14nm supply shortages are affecting the ship date for Polymega - SNES Emulator has expansion chip support for SA1, SuperFX, CX-4. DSP-1/2 + variants - includes only in-house created or legally licensed software - emulators are best in class and only one of them could run on a low-power arm device - support for NVMe M.2 2280 SSD's via expansion port - SD expansion remains intact, up to 1TB - Polymega hardware is finished and runs a powerful 35W Intel Coffee Lake S series Processor which can be upgraded
